WE NEED TO WANT

In need and want is a crucial difference
They both are not the same
Wants arise from greed, not sense
Needs help us through life's game

Wants, oh they can be just for fun
You may want a gift or a toy
But after needs we need to run
Be it a girl or a boy

When we finally get what we want
We may not want it any longer
For what we want none may grant
Our wants they only get stronger

Our simple needs they help us live
Like food or clothes or shelter
When you have enough, then freely give
To make other lives better

It's true needs are needed to survive
But it's wants that make us human
For wants they drive and help us thrive
So we need to want what we can
